A lot of students are dreaming about governmental grants, but only few of them receive it. Governmental grant is the opportunity for the people with the limit amount of money to receive an education, as a grant is a sum of money presented to the student to cover the tuition fees.

Every year government invests funds in the education to each university, and the university divides this sum of money and spread it among the best and most dignified students. However, all the grants have special requirements a student has to satisfy before receiving one. The requirements are as follows:
•    A student should be a citizen of the United States of America and he or she has to posses Social Security Number. (the cases with eligible non-citizens are also exist)
•    A student should have a diploma from the high school, or GED - General Education Development certificate, or to pass the test, which goes under the title: “ability to benefit”, presented by U.S. Department of Education.
•    Have a certificate of Eligible or Partially Eligible on the Drug Conviction.
•    Have some merits, achievements, or talents according to which he or she is claiming for the governmental grant.

The education costs too much nowadays and I think that it is not fare that only those who have money are able to afford it. However, situation it starting to become not so hopeless. The government starts to understand that not only rich people worth to be educated.

That is why the government starts to provide people in need with the educational grants. Grant is a sum of money, which you receive from the government in order to cover the tuition fees. This sum of money you do not have to cover, it is a present for you.

Nevertheless, here, not only your financial situation is taking into account, if you just not have enough money to study, you will fail to receive a grant. However, if you have a lot of achievements, if you have out-standing knowledge at some subject, if you are creative and really full of desire to study then you can bravely appeal for the grant.

If you have failed to receive a governmental grant, but still you want to obtain a diploma, you are welcome to complete FAFSA, which stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. After that, you are going to receive a letter in which a sum of money you are able to claim to lend will be mentioned.
